The filter is made of low carbon steel plate, cast steel, channel steel and hollow profiles through various processes (such as cutting, welding, lathe, grinding, assembly and coating). These filters are widely used to filter edible oi and palm oil extracted from the oil seed discharge to remove impurities and sludge content. They can also be used to filter other types of extracted oil. The crude oil is pumped into a vertical leaf filter press or filter press, which filters the impurities and sludge before they are pumped to the oil storage tank.

Working principle of press filter:The pressing device(cylinder piston rod or screw ) drives the push plate to press the filter plates and filter cloth between push plate and tail plate . Filter chambers are formed between pressed filter plates and material get in to The filter chambers through the feeding port in tail plate . Solid particles are trapped in filter chambers form into cakes , while liquid is discharged out of the tail Plate, Thus realize solid liquid separation. In similar manner ,to drying the press cakes , compressed air can be introduced through the washing port.

The filter plates are processed under CNC presses with pressures of 1,000 tons, 2000 tons, 2500 tons, 3000 tons, and 3800 tons respectively, so as to obtain good pressure resistance and not easy to deform.
