Causes and solutions to problems with hollow hydraulic jacks

2024-01-10 18:41:41

Hydraulic jacks are currently widely used in various pipeline construction, construction, highway and railway construction, power station construction, equipment lifting, and mechanical disassembly. They have a tensioning function. The center hole can be used for cables, steel bars, etc. to pass through. The center hole can be customized according to user needs. After processing, oil cylinders of different specifications and different strokes can be produced according to user requirements. Hydraulic pump stations and manual oil pumps are optional. This type of equipment is small in size, light in weight, compact in structure, simple to operate, ultra-high pressure, small flow, and can be equipped with a low-pressure pump to improve efficiency. On this basis, various hydraulic components can be added. Such as electromagnetic reversing valve, pressure relay, remote control switch, hydraulic lock, etc. Can be used at any pressure within the rated pressure.

hollow hydraulic jacks

The manufacturing process of the hollow hydraulic jack is relatively complicated. It is a special kind of jack. For those who use the jack for the first time, sometimes they will feel helpless when they encounter problems. In order to help everyone solve this problem, we Listed are several causes and solutions for problems with hollow jacks.

hollow hydraulic jacks application

Fault 1: Small oil pump leakage: looseness caused by overload of the lifting machinery.
Solution: Clamp the jack on a vise, remove the handle connecting rod on the small pump, and then use a torx wrench to tighten the small pump clockwise. A 50 cm long hollow iron pipe is required for reinforcement.

Fault 2: Oil leakage from the small pump core: The pump core did not return in time after use, and after long-term use, the seals were worn and cracked due to corrosion.
Solution: Clamp the hydraulic jack on a vise, remove the handle connecting rod on the small pump, loosen the oil release valve, release the air at the filling port, pull out the pump core, replace the pump core seal and plug it back.

Fault 3: The hollow hydraulic jack cannot be raised: there is no oil inside, the small pump gasket resists the steel ball and cannot move, or there are impurities or damage in the recess of the steel ball.
1. Observe whether there is oil in the jack. If there is no oil, add oil.
2. Clamp the jack on a vise, remove the pressing link on the small pump, tighten the oil drain valve, release air from the oil port, use a torx wrench to tighten the rod in the opposite direction to loosen the small pump and use needle-nose pliers to pry it out. Gasket, take out the steel ball, clean the recess, put in the gasket, observe whether the steel ball has room for movement, and then reinstall the small pump and tighten it.

Fault 4: After use, the hollow hydraulic jack automatically lifts after the piston rod is pressed: air will be generated inside the jack.
Solution: After pressing the piston rod, do not move it away. Use needle-nose pliers to push up the oil filler port from the side to release the air.

Fault 5: The hydraulic jack cannot lift in place and cannot reach the standard height: the oil in the jack is not filled up or is consumed after being used for a long time.
Solution: Remove the refueling plug, check whether the oil level reaches the level of the filling port, and refill the oil until it reaches the level of the filling port.

Fault 6: There is a small amount of oil spilled between the piston rod of the hydraulic jack, the top cap and the jacket.
Solution: There is wear between the two during use. When the oil release valve is released, the pressure is high. It is normal for oil to transfer from the cylinder into the jacket and cause a small amount of overflow.

Fault 7: The piston rod cannot be pressed down after use of the hydraulic jack: the piston rod body is too dry. The cylinder was damaged after eccentric loading.
Solution: Coat the piston rod with a layer of butter, fill the oil gun with jack oil, and inject some around the root so that it can be pressed in. If it cannot be pressed in, there is probably an internal problem with the cylinder and requires overall repair.
